Understanding the True Nature of the Self

The Bhagavad Gita teaches that true wisdom begins when we understand that the soul is eternal, beyond birth and death.

The soul is never born, nor does it ever die.

In the modern world, people often define themselves through temporary identities such as profession, status, wealth, or appearance. However, the Bhagavad Gita reminds us that our true identity lies beyond the physical body and material achievements.

Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna that the soul is eternal, indestructible, and untouched by the changes of the material world. Just as a person changes clothes, the soul moves from one body to another while remaining unchanged within.

True wisdom begins when a person understands this deeper reality. Fear, anxiety, attachment, and ego gradually reduce when we realize that life is not limited to temporary experiences.

Gyaan Yoga encourages self-inquiry, reflection, discipline, and spiritual understanding. It teaches us to observe life with clarity instead of reacting emotionally to every situation.

In today’s fast-moving society, this wisdom becomes even more important. Constant comparison, stress, and external pressure disconnect people from inner peace. Spiritual knowledge helps restore balance and purpose.

At Voice of Dharma Foundation, we aim to spread this timeless wisdom through spiritual discussions, community learning, and practical application of Bhagavad Gita teachings in daily life.
